How to Have a Dream Wedding on a Budget

Nobody wants to pay more than they need for everything, especially something as expensive as a wedding. And if you're like me, and you had to foot their own bill, you want to reduce costs. I was afraid that they could not be made, especially because my husband and I live in one of the most expensive regions of the country. But my wedding is proof that it can be done, and here's how:

Reception Venue

Find the non-profit organizations that host weddings,
because their rental costs are very reasonable. And many of them - the American Legion is one example - the beautiful, well maintained facilities. If you prefer an outdoor wedding, then skip the country club and go to a state or National Park, where beautiful landscapes at a fraction of the cost.

Catering

Many rental halls offer full-service catering, including linen and tableware, wait staff, all preparation and cleaning up food, etc. But unless you are on a non-profit (which hopefully you are if you step 1), then this can be very expensive. Try a small catering businesses, which are usually not at-home menu-service because they know how to put it on a budget. And they are sure to give you excellent customer service.

Alcohol

You must, must, you must buy your own alcohol. If you
by renting the hall at the sale price, you will be paying through the nose. If you follow step 1, then you have probably found a place that allows you to create your own alcohol, or it will be on a non-profit price. This is the only way to go.

Flowers & Decorations

Additional costs to remove, by all easy. It really is not too little party at each table, since hardly anyone remembers or through the points anyway. And go easy on the flowers - with a few simple measures can be strategically placed very refined and elegant.

Music

With the wealth of music for the (legal) download on the Internet, it is easier than ever to make your own CDs to play at the wedding. It's great that creative control over the music, and it gives you and your future spouse of a project you can work together. Many of the rental buildings have equipment for playing CDs, but you can also rent this equipment fairly cheap.

Invitations

Save on invitations by ordering only paper invitations for family members. All others, including your friends and family, can be sent via e-mail will be invited. You may think it's tacky, but it'sreally the best way to ensure an accurate calculation. It is much easier for people to receive an e-mail when the mail response by mail. But still the paper invitations for your family, because it is the traditional way. They can be very inexpensive invitations these days through various printing websites.

In addition to the above recommendations, I have, there are many other small ways you can save. For example, to the granting of discounts for the bridal stores your clothes, be a friend to the wedding cake, etc. - but I've found that trying to micro-manage every little item on your checklist, you will crazy. To keep it simple with just the big items that I above, and you have the ultimate dream wedding - a beautiful place, excellent food, many drinks, your favorite music, all on a budget!
